Houston, Texas – June 3, 2016-The Texas Association of Health Underwriters has been recognized with the Blue Ribbon of Excellence Award.
Texas was recognized for this award as part of NAHU’s Chapter Certification Program, which is an ongoing program that recognizes excelling chapters throughout the calendar year.
“The leadership of NAHU members has a far-reaching impact on providing for the healthcare needs of individuals, families and business in their communities. We are grateful for Texas’ hard work with chapter development and recognize them for their efforts with this well-deserved award,” said NAHU CEO Janet Trautwein.
“Our state exemplifies real dedication to providing the best opportunities for our members and the individuals and clients they represent through our chapter development efforts,” said State President, Joe Phifer. “Over the past year our fifteen chapters representing more than 1700 members provided hundreds of hours of Continuing Education, gave thousands of dollars to local charities through fund raising efforts, and brought exposure to the Valley through the founding of our newest chapter, South Texas AHU. These projects and efforts among others have set a standard of excellence in the health insurance industry that we are proud to represent.”
