Corporate marketing managers from IBC Bank are laser-focused on their fundraising efforts for MD Anderson, a three-month campaign with a goal of raising $1 million. IBC plans to match the money raised dollar for dollar. To date, the team has raised more than half of their goal.
Anyoleth Sanchez, the Corporate Liaison for UT Health Science Center MD Anderson Cancer Center, met with the IBC Texas and Oklahoma marketing managers to discuss continuing strategies for their fundraising efforts.
“We are elated with the response IBC Bank has received from the community in regards to the fundraising project,” Sanchez said. “The employees, customers and friends of IBC obviously realize the importance of finding a cure for cancer and the importance of funding research.”
Along with donation cards displayed at the 206 branches throughout Texas and Oklahoma, IBC Bank has hosted numerous fundraising events, including the “Give Cancer the Boot” western dances, skeet shoots, golf tournaments and style shows to raise funds and awareness about the outstanding service provided at the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
MD Anderson Cancer Center, the nation’s top-ranked hospital for cancer care, has launched an ambitious and comprehensive action plan, called the Moon Shots Program, which aims to rapidly and dramatically reduce mortality and suffering in several major cancers.
