Learning Differences Homeschool Network of Southeast Texas is a homeschool group for anyone homeschooling a kid with any diagnosis that affects learning — what we call “qurky” kids — kids who in most ways are typical but sometimes struggle to fit in neurotypical homeschool groups. Our primary goal is to provide a place our kids can make friends and be social. We’re based in the CyFair area. We have bimonthly kids’ activities and monthly parent support meetings, and a lot of things are in the works. Past activities have included swimming, bowling, laser tag, classic video games, ice cream social, board game day, zoo trip, arts & crafts day, pool party, and park day. Upcoming events include carnival, volunteering at homeless shelter, a “let’s move” activity day, pottery class, and Halloween party.
