On Thursday, August 25th, the Central Fort Bend Chamber hosted the Leadership Welcome & Alumni Reception at The Swinging Door. Chairman, Jeff Haley opened the event and provided the 31-year history of the program by listing some of its milestones and great previous leaders.
The nearly 100 guests enjoyed introductions of the 2016-2017 Leadership class emceed by Program Chairs Ray Aguilar of Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land and Wes Wittig of the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office. Following the introductions, the 2016 Leadership Fort Bend Leader of the Year Award was presented to Rene Casanova of Casanova Insurance by the 2015 Leader of the Year Shannon Tassin.
The 2017 Class is the 31th in Leadership Fort Bend history. The class kicks off on August 31st with their Opening Retreat at Camp Allen in Navasota.
