The Sugar Land Garden Club is hosting its 17th annual Garden Tour on October 22 from 9am-3pm. Rain date is October 29.
This year’s tour ‘Across the Bend’ features 6 diverse and exceptional gardens with locations in Colony Bend, Oyster Point, River Park, Orchard Lake Estates, Imperial Park, and Bridle Path. Ranging in styles from traditional to eclectic, all of the gardens have a unique personality. One of the gardens will charm you with its true Southern appeal, having a courtyard that evokes days of old and features a six-foot diameter syrup kettle and fountain as the focal point. The garden is home to hundreds of lilies – spider, naked, Easter, and day among them – as well as amaryllis and crinums, many making their way to Fort Bend via travels from Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana! An assortment of azaleas, fruit trees, crepe myrtles, roses and camellias also add their blooms to the charm of the garden.
Tickets may be purchased on the day of the tour for $15. Tickets, which will include house locations and a tour map will be sold at each of the homes. See www.SugarLandGardenClub.org for more info including house locations and a map.
