If you have wanted to become a Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) licensed Private Pesticide Applicator, an opportunity to attend the required training is coming up. This training will give participants the necessary information to take the private applicator license test. Any agricultural producer or land owner who applies restricted use pesticides to their own property needs a private pesticide applicator license and may participate.
The training will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Office, located at 1402 Band Road, Suite 100, Rosenberg, Texas. Registration is at 8:00 a.m. with class beginning at 8:30 a.m. The fee to attend is $50. This includes two applicator manuals that should be purchased for review in advance of the training. This training is required prior to taking the TDA Private Pesticide Applicator exam. Testing will not be offered. New testing procedures will be explained during the training.
