The Texas Water Development Board today approved non-SWIFT financial assistance totaling $15,364,000. Of this funding, $7,364,000 was designated for rural water projects.

TWDB_splashLogo_verysmallAUSTIN – (July 23, 2015) – In addition to approving $3.9 billion in assistance through the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT), the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today also approved another $15,364,000 in financial assistance for water and wastewater system improvements. Three of the projects will benefit rural areas of the state.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
