AUSTIN – Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick issued the following statement today on the filing of Senate Bill 11, by Senate Health and Human Services Committee Chair Charles Schwertner (R-Georgetown), Senate Finance Chair Jane Nelson (R-Flower Mound), and Senator Carlos Uresti (D-San Antonio).
“Protecting Texas children is one of my top priorities. Senate Bill 11 will strengthen the state’s ability to investigate child abuse and neglect and improve foster care accountability and capacity. I commend Chairman Schwertner for putting the safety of Texas children first.”
