Executive Chef Angel Luis Rodriguez Brings Fresh Flavors and Dishes to the Table
WEST HOUSTON, TX – The Omni Houston Hotel at Westside has promoted Angel Luis Rodriguez to Executive Chef. Angel has been a part of the Omni team since March, 2014 when he was brought on as Executive Sous Chef. He has more than 15 years of experience in the culinary field and prides himself on creating delicious and locally sourced dishes for Omni that delight the palate and entice the senses.
In 2001, Chef Angel embarked on his culinary journey, which started at the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. His professional evolution has included stops in Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont, Vail Cascade Resort & Spa in Vail, Colorado, John’s Island Club and the Gasparilla Resort & Golf Club in Florida and Chatham Bars Inn and Wequassett Resort & Golf Club, both in Cape Cod.
Chef Angel hopes to grow the Culinary Department at Omni Houston Hotel at Westside from the heart. “For me it’s about culture and having love and passion for what we do as culinarians.” Rodriguez said. “I plan to bring that love to the team by establishing a learning environment where associates feel empowered to bring new ideas and their own personal food traditions to the table.”
