Mr. Morton was declared innocent in 2011 after spending 25 years in jail for killing his wife, Christine. In 2013 the Houston Chronicle named Mr. Raley their Houstonian of the Year, and in 2014 Mr. Raley was given the Atticus Finch award by the Brazos County Bar.

The Michael Morton Act, passed this year, prevents prosecutors from hiding evidence as (DA) Anderson did.”
