The Katy Lions Club is sponsoring the Katy Leo Club. This is for young people from the ages of 12 through 18 who want to develop leadership skills, learn time management, and be a team leader.

Leo Clubs are sponsored by local Lions clubs through Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest community service organization, with 1.3 million members across the globe. There are now more than 5,700 Leo clubs in approximately 140 countries. Some Leo Clubs have visited children in the hospital, repaired playground, and collected clothes for children in need.

The word “Leo” stands for:

Leadership: Develop your skills as a project organizer, time manager, and team leader.

Experience: Discover how teamwork and cooperation can bring exciting changes to your community.

Opportunity: Make friends and feel the rewards of service.

Why should you become a Leo?

Leo clubs encourage youth to develop leadership skills, serve the community and more than anything, have a good time. To appear above and beyond on a college resume with commitment to an international purpose, the Leo Club can assist with that. A member of the Leos can also be transitioned into a Lion, where they can serve the international community for the remainder of their life. Leo Clubs meet twice a month under the supervision of a Lion. To find out more, we encourage you to sign up for the OPEN HOUSE sponsored by the Katy Lions Club on October 15th (Sunday) at Times Square Entertainment from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Times Square Entertainment is located at 402 W. Grand Parkway S. #110, Katy, TX 77494.
