Shield Bearer, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to hope and healing for survivors of trauma including Hurricane Harvey, human trafficking, abuse, domestic violence, crime, and war, has announced the 2017 Celebration of Hope Award Winners. These award winners played a significant role in forwarding the mission of Shield Bearer in 2017:
Business Partner of the Year – Louetta Automotive
Community Organization Partner of the Year – American Business Women’s Association (Local networks Cy-Fair Express Network and Women Empowering Women Express Network)
Church Partner of the Year – Lifepath Church
Ministry Partner of the Year – The Landing
Ambassadors of the Year – Kijana and Trent Spradley
Awardees were honored on October 11, 2017 at the Shield Bearer Celebration of Hope Dinner and Awards Banquet at Bammel Church of Christ. The event was sponsored by Toney Construction Services, Halford Busby Construction Consultants, Resale with a Purpose, Lindsay’s Light, and Insurance One. Supporters raised $100,000 at the event, which will be used to supplement professional counseling services and programs for the many individuals and families in our community that are unable to afford them.
