Set For November 4th At Villagio Town Center
Ticket sales to benefit The Ballard House, shuttered by damage from Hurricane Harvey
KATY, Texas (Oct. 5, 2017) – Katy’s largest wine and culinary festival is right around the corner – and this time, its mission is more important than ever.
Katy Sip N Stroll, presented by Kroger, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4, at Villagio Town Center. The signature bi-annual event offers more than 1,800 guests a chance to discover new wines, craft beer and culinary creations amid artisan vendors and live music, with more than 150 wine selections and 25 different food tasting stations. Tickets are available for $35 (General Admission, 6-9 p.m.) and $65 (VIP, 5-9 p.m.) at www.sipandstroll.com.
Sip N Stroll benefits Cinco Charities’ The Ballard House, which provides temporary housing for individuals receiving treatment for serious medical conditions and their families. The shelter has been forced to temporarily close its doors due to damage from Hurricane Harvey, making the support from Sip N Stroll ticket sales and sponsorships more timely than ever. All auction item proceeds and funding raised will directly fund repairs to help The Ballard House reopen its doors to serve families in need.
Highlights of this year’s event include Bubbles @ Villagio featuring champagne and sweet treats, The Kroger Beer Club with premium selections from an array of craft breweries, culinary action stations by participating restaurants, and a silent auction and wine pull benefiting The Ballard House. Guests will be treated to live music on three stages from Robert Hartye (Main Stage), Kristen Hart (Beer Garden) and Gabe Montoya (Street Music Stage).
Sip N Stroll will boast more than 150 wine selections from the likes of Alexander Valley Vineyards, Becker, Bogle, Braman, Brown-Forman, Castle Rock, Constellation Brands, Duckhorn, Fetzer, Foley, HESS, Hiro Sake, Jackson Family, Justin/Landmark, KRIS, Kobrand, Llano Escantado, Palm Bay, Quintessential, Riboli, Santa Margarita, Ste. Michelle, The Wine Group, Trinchero, Wagner, Winebow and Winery Exchange with new additions to come.
Participating restaurants and chefs include Alicia’s, BB’s Café, BJ’s Brewhouse, Black Walnut Café, Bundt-Cake-A-Holic, Chef for All Occasions, Dining with the Tunes, Dish Society, Fajita Pete’s, Great Harvest Bread, Mama Fu’s, Nirvana Indian Cuisine, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Peli Peli, Sammy’s Sports Grill & Bar, Verts Kepab, Whiskey Cake, and Sammy’s Steakhouse.
Along with some of the area’s top craft breweries, other vendors will include Annie’s Digs, Haus of Growlers, Cutco, Katy Lady, Lula Roe, Lipsense, Rewind Candles, Texas Hill Country Olive Company and To The Bone.
To date, Katy Sip N Stroll has raised more than $221,000 to support The Ballard House, which has surpassed more than 29,565 nights of free lodging and host to more than 5,859 guests coming from all over the world as of the end of September 2017.

BENEFITS:
A 501c3 organization, Cinco Charities® Inc. was founded in 2006 by a group of Keller Williams Premier Realty agents and has provided “a home away from home” for hundreds of patients and their caregivers since its inception. The organization has recently extended their commitment to those in need by building The Ballard House, a 24 guest-suite hospitality house to meet the growing needs of patients coming to the Katy/West Houston Medical Center for treatment for life-threatening illnesses. These families have travelled to Katy from 26 different states besides Texas, 45 Texas cities and rural communities and as far away as Poland and Canada for their treatments. Dr. Gregory Chronowski, Associate Professor of Radiology Oncology at MD Anderson’s Katy Cancer Center said that “if it were not for Ballard House, a number of my patients would not have been able financially to come for cancer treatment and probably would not have lived.”
“The Ballard House is a symbol of the warm and welcoming spirit of Katy’s community,” said Kathy Alt, Ballard House Manager. “The need for housing assistance has exploded the last couple of years. Now is a critical time to support Cinco Charities as we are daily answering the need from West Houston’s growing medical community by providing patients and their families free lodging and other services so they can concentrate on receiving their treatment.”
The Katy Sip N Stroll, presented by Kroger, is one of Cinco Charities major fundraising events to support the operating costs of The Ballard House. Your enthusiastic participation in the auction provides proceeds to directly benefit The Ballard House mission and is greatly appreciated.
