At the 116th Nation Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), a resolution was passed to change the name of the Ladies Auxiliary from the Veterans of Foreign Wars to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. This allows the male spouses and family members to become members of the Auxiliary. After over 100 years of being the Ladies Auxiliary, the Auxiliary is making history.
Membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Auxiliary shall be limited to spouses (male or female), parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren of any person who is eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
