ur speaker this week is Dave Wilson, a maverick board member of the Houston Community College System. Mr. Wilson is a reform-minded conservative candidate whose victory upset in 2014 over a long time minority incumbent rocked the Democratic establishment. He also filed a criminal complaint last August against HCCS(!) for paying too much for a building, a violation of Texas law. Mr. Wilson has also put a spotlight on HCCS’s lie that its enrollment is growing, justifying property acquisition for expansion, when in fact it is shrinking.

In his spare time this year, Dave organized a petition for a proposed charter amendment that will prohibit women from using men’s restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, in the city of Houston.
