Area attorneys are invited to the October 27, 2015 lunch meeting of the Katy Bar Association at 11:30 A.M. at Willowfork Country Club, 21055 Westheimer Parkway, Katy, Texas.
The guest speakers are attorney, Elizabeth Pratt, and her Co-speaker, Jane Moughon, of Retain Ability. Their topic is “Millennials and Generation Z in the Workplace, legalities to know.”
Their program will focus on the interaction between the Millennial generation and three key components of managing a workforce from the legal standpoint – interviewing, performance assessment and feedback, and the well written policies and rules to keep everyone on track,
They will provide an overview of Millennials – who they are, why businesses should care, attributes, and what they want to stay with your company, and a discussion of the importance of employee handbooks , both for effective work with Millennials and their importance in preventing and defending employment-related claims.
Ms. Pratt is Third Vice President of The Katy Bar Association, a Baylor college and law school graduate. For over twenty-five years, she has represented and advised employers in state and federal court litigation and in agency proceedings.
Her legal practice covers a broad range of labor and employment issues, with the primary goals of preventing litigation by proactively managing workplace problems and, if litigation is unavoidable, defending all claims effectively and with unwavering focus on serving each client’s goals and needs.

Author of Letters from Mom Booklets, Masters in Human Resource Management, Former Professional Recruiter of young adults right out of college. She taught Career Development for 10 years and is Listed in Who’s Who of Women Executives, Woman of the Year, National
Association of Professional Women.
As a Millennial Employee Retention Specialist, Ms. Moughon speaks, trains and consults with companies about how to attract, understand, manage, motivate, and retain Millennials.
