This is about fixing a corrupt criminal situation
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Last night on Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly emphasized the need for action on Kate’s Law and called attention to Sen. Cruz’s efforts to advance the bill, named for Kate Steinle, the 32-year-old woman who tragically died in the arms of her father on a San Francisco pier after being shot by an illegal alien who had several felony convictions and had been deported from the United States five times. Kate’s Law would impose a mandatory minimum sentence of five years for any illegal reentry offense.
O’Reilly labeled Democratic Leader Harry Reid’s objection to Kate’s Law a “cynical joke,” and asserted that passing the legislation is “the right and moral thing to do.”
“The majority of Americans support this bill… [Reid’s] objections to Kate’s Law is a cynical joke. Reid well understands that violent foreign thugs defy deportation all the time, but Harry Reid does not care and has shamed himself and insulted the Steinle family by blocking a vote on Kate’s Law. That’s unacceptable… ,” O’Reilly said.
