For a fourth straight year, Newmark Homes has been named one of Houston’s Top Workplaces.

The builder was listed No. 8 among small companies in the annual report published by the Houston Chronicle and compiled by research firm WorkplaceDynamics. In all, 150 Houston companies and organizations were recognized.
“At Newmark Homes, we strive to employ driven professionals who take ownership of their jobs,” said Mike Moody, president of Newmark Homes. “We empower our team and give them autonomy to do what is needed to accomplish their goals; and we acknowledge their outstanding efforts through praise and generous, merit-based compensation packages. We also try to have a little fun along the way.”
Placement on the list is based solely on surveys completed by employees. Among the submitted comments, Newmark employees said they enjoyed “The atmosphere of everyone working together for a common cause” and “Flexibility with schedules, fun working environment, great team.”
Nearly 79,000 Houston-area employees participated in the survey, which debuted in 2010. Employees were asked to rate opportunities for advancement, the value of pay and benefits and the leadership and environment of their workplaces. To be considered, at least 30 responders were required for employers with 85 or fewer employees. Newmark employs 73, many of whom have been with the company for years.
Newmark Homes and Fedrick, Harris Estate Homes, part of the Newmark family of companies, can be found in 10 Houston-area developments. The Houston Business Journal has ranked Newmark Homes No. 83 on its list of Houston’s fastest-growing private companies. Plus, Newmark is No. 93 on the Builder 100 list, a ranking of the top builders in the nation. For more information on Newmark Homes, visit www.newmarkhomes.com.
