KATY, Texas – On Monday, Feb. 29, Whataburger will host the ultimate endurance competition as representatives from Seven Lakes High School join in a battle to keep one hand on an inflatable Whataburger cup. Unlike other food contests where the fastest eater wins, the winner of this contest will be the competitor who lasts the longest.
The winning participant will receive a free Whataburger each week for an entire year along with a $1,000 donation to Seven Lakes High School’s Project Prom program.
“At Whataburger, the spirit of competition and investing in our local communities are two important values,” said Whataburger Director of Operations Ed Berg. “It’s wonderful to be able to combine both in the Whataburger Challenge, as we raise money for Seven Lakes High School’s Project Prom program.”
In addition, there will be raffles and giveaways throughout the evening and an appearance from Whataburger’s mascot, Whataguy. Spectators are encouraged to come out and show their support while enjoying their favorite menu items.
Family-owned Whataburger has proudly served its famous burgers since 1950 and continues to deliver fresh, made-to-order meals every day with extraordinary customer service. In addition to fundraising through events like the Whataburger Challenge, Whataburger invests in the communities it serves through charitable giving and volunteerism to a number of nonprofit organizations that focus on children’s charities, cancer research, hunger assistance, disaster relief and military support.
