Fort Bend County OEM Storm Update 6/17/15

Fort Bend LogoFort Bend County, TX – Tropical Depression “Bill” continues to produce rain in areas of Fort Bend and will continue to move across the region for the next several hours.  Due to the recent weather reports, Fort Bend County Emergency Operations Center has now reduced its readiness level to 3 and will continue to monitor the storm situation and river levels for the duration.

Fort Bend County remains in recovery mode from the recent Memorial Day Storms and Flooding.  FEMA has established a Mobile Registration Intake Center (MRIC) to help support those residents that sustained flood and storm damage during the recent event.  The MRIC will be operational today, June 17th, at noon until 7pm and 10am to 7pm until further notice. Residents may also register for assistance by calling 1-800-462-FEMA or visiting www.disasterassistance.gov or m.fema.gov with a smart phone.
