The Katy Family YMCA is currently accepting sponsorships for the 13th Annual Turkey Dash, one of the largest fun runs in the Greater Houston Area. Jointly organized by the Katy Family YMCA and The Fellowship, the race is presented by Reliant, an NRG company. Returning sponsors include Grand Vision, Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus, United Healthcare and Cram Crew. Event proceeds benefit the YMCA Annual Campaign, and provide program scholarships as youth sports, swim lessons and after school care.
7,000 participants and more than 1,500 spectators and volunteers are expected to attend this year. Race options include a 10K, 5K, Kids Fun Run and a 1 Mile Walk/Run. A Costume Contest will also be held.
“The Turkey Dash is an event where families get together and celebrate a holiday while creating new memories. A successful event is only possible because of the support of our local community, committed volunteers and local businesses,” says Brian Haines, District Vice President of the YMCA. “Knowing that we are all working for the same worthy cause, and helping so many families have a great time, makes this event very special.”
